Harvest analysis

The 2025/2026 season was significantly cooler than the year before. The winter of 2025 was warmer and drier than usual, resulting in little rainfall and snowfall in the Andes Mountains. Despite this, budbreak in the spring of 2025 fell within the same timeframe as in the previous four years. October was also within normal parameters until the 28th, when a snowfall followed by a frost affected much of the higher elevations of the Uco Valley.

The most notable difference compared to the 2024/2025 season was the increased rainfall and cloud cover between November and February, which resulted in cooler days and especially cooler nights. The difference was especially noticeable from January onwards and played a significant role in the ripening process, as the vines did not suffer from heat stress, allowing the grapes to be harvested earlier than usual with an excellent sugar-acidity ratio.

In terms of the wines, we can speak of an exceptional vintage, with highly expressive and remarkably fresh white wines and red wines with wonderful phenolic ripeness, excellent fruit, and very good balance. This is a great year that will be remembered.
